Dr. Shawn Samuelson is a 2005 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation he did a year internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond Oklahoma. Currently, he is the owner here at West Branch Animal Clinic, is a mixed animal veterinarian with emphasis on equine lameness, general health and dentistry as well as small and large animal preventive medicine and wellness. Away from the clinic, Dr. Samuelson enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, horses, competing in calf roping and team roping and now watching his kids compete as well.

Dr. Taylor Peterson graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and shortly after joined the West Branch Animal Clinic. She grew up on a farm near Gladbrook Iowa and enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice. In her free time she enjoys long distance running, biking, many outdoor activities and sports, gardening and spending time with her husband and family.
Dr. Lizzy Breuer graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and immediately joined the West Branch Animal Clinic team mid-pandemic. She grew up on a small cow/calf farm near Waterloo, IA. She loves working with both small and large animals. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her family, cats, and turtle.
